Dunkin' caffeine chart: every drink and size
A medium Dunkin' hot coffee has about 210 mg of caffeine, a medium iced coffee 297 mg and a medium latte 166 mg. Iced drinks at Dunkin' come in much bigger cups than hot ones, a 24 oz medium against a 14 oz medium, so the iced version of the same coffee usually carries more caffeine.
The chart below lists the popular drinks in all three sizes, plus the latest you could have a medium and still fall asleep at 11 pm.

Figures are the ones Dunkin' publishes for its US menu. Hot drinks come in 10, 14 and 20 oz; iced drinks in 16, 24 and 32 oz. Extra Charged coffee, where your store has it, adds about 20 percent.
The last column is worked out the same way as everything else on this site: caffeine peaks about 45 minutes after you drink it and halves roughly every 5.7 hours. The time is when one medium on its own would be down to 40 mg by 11 pm, the level we treat as low enough to sleep on. "Before 5 am" means a medium that strong does not get there from any normal morning order.
Iced coffee is the big one
Most people think of iced coffee as the lighter order. At Dunkin' it is the opposite: a medium iced coffee has 297 mg against 210 mg for a medium hot coffee, because the cup holds 24 oz instead of 14. A large iced coffee, about 396 mg, is nearly the full 400 mg daily limit in one drink.
Cold brew lands between the two at 260 mg for a medium, and Energy Cold Brew, with added caffeine, at 378 mg. Frozen Coffee is close to iced coffee, 295 mg, which surprises people who order it as a treat.
Lattes, Americanos and macchiatos
Dunkin' espresso drinks are built on shots of about 118 mg each, noticeably stronger than the 75 mg Starbucks shot. A small Latte or Cappuccino has one shot, 118 mg; a medium 166 mg; a large 252 mg.
An Americano and a macchiato get more espresso for the same size, which is why a medium of either comes to about 284 mg, more than a medium hot coffee. If you switch from drip to an Americano to cut back, at Dunkin' it does the opposite.
The low-caffeine end of the menu
A medium Dunkaccino has about 85 mg, a medium Vanilla Chai 80 mg and a medium iced tea 67 mg. Hot chocolate is about 13 mg and decaf about 10 mg in a medium, both fine in the evening.
How late can you drink Dunkin'?
For an 11 pm bedtime, a medium hot coffee should be finished by about 9 am and a medium iced coffee by about 6:20 am. A medium latte works until about 11 am, a small latte until about 2 pm, and a medium Vanilla Chai until about 5 pm.
These times are for one drink on its own. A medium iced coffee at 2 pm still leaves about 100 mg at 11 pm, more than two and a half times the level we treat as fine for sleep. The bedtime calculator adds up every drink of your day, and the how long does caffeine last guide explains the curve behind the times.
Dunkin' against Starbucks
Size for size, Starbucks brewed coffee is stronger and Dunkin' espresso drinks are slightly stronger. Iced coffee is the main exception, because the Dunkin' cup is so much bigger. The whole Starbucks menu is in the Starbucks caffeine chart.
| Drink | Starbucks grande | Dunkin' medium |
|---|---|---|
| Hot brewed coffee | 310 mg | 210 mg |
| Cold brew | 205 mg | 260 mg |
| Iced coffee | 165 mg | 297 mg |
| Latte | 150 mg | 166 mg |
| Americano | 225 mg | 284 mg |
| Chai latte | 95 mg | 80 mg |
